Finasteride inhibits the production of DHT, which stops hair loss. Minoxidil increases blood flow to your hair follicles to promote thicker, stronger hair growth. You are likely to experience better results by using finasteride and minoxidil together than by only taking one medication to treat hair loss.
Finasteride and minoxidil typically take three to four months of daily use to start seeing visible changes. It can take up to a year to see the maximum results.
